I contributed to the academic paper "Realistic Tree Animation" which was published as a SIGGRAPH short paper. We used optical motion capture on Japanese Elms in a breeze to improve tree animation beyond what was seen even in big budget, cinematic CGI.
Using Vuforia's target tracking, I added image recognition to an iPad museum tour, so scanning each painting takes you directly to the applicable app content.
Using blob detection in ROS, I programmed path-finding algorithms to direct Sphero robots through obstacle courses.
